چکیده

The dynamic range of a scene is the contrast ratio between its brightest and darkest parts Low dynamic range images usually represent pixels with pixel values ranging as integers between and High dynamic range pixels are capable of representing light quantities of one to a million and beyond and can express more exact than the usual dynamic range But it was di cult to model an object with high intensity by the usual method using the dynamic range because of the large di erence of intensity In this thesis we propose a method in which we can avoid this problem and model the sunshine with high dynamic range

Evaluation of deformable image registration in HDR gynecological brachytherapy

Introduction: In brachytherapy, as in external radiotherapy, image-guidance plays an important role. For GYN treatments it is standard to acquire at least CT images and preferably MR images prior to each treatment and to calculate the dose of the day on each set of images. Then, the dose to the target and to the organs at risk (OAR) is calculated with worst case scenario from I...

Parallel implementation of a real-time high dynamic range video system

This article describes the use of the parallel processing capabilities of a graphics chip to increase the processing speed of a high dynamic range (HDR) video system. The basis is an existing HDR video system that produces each frame from a sequence of regular images taken in quick succession under varying exposure settings. The image sequence is processed in a pipeline consisting of: shutter s...

Flash-exposure high dynamic range imaging: virtual photography and depth-compensating flash

I present a revised approach to flash-exposure high dynamic range (HDR) imaging and demonstrate two applications of this image representation. The first application enables the creation of realistic ‘virtual photographs’ for arbitrary flash-exposure settings, based on a single flash-exposure HDR image. The second application is a novel tone mapping operator for flash-exposure HDR images based o...

Shadow attenuation with high dynamic range images. Creating RGB images that allow feature classification in areas otherwise obscured by shadow or oversaturation.

Shadow often interferes with accurate image analysis. To mitigate shadow effects in near-earth imagery (2 m above ground level), we created high dynamic range (HDR) nadir images and used them to measure grassland ground cover. HDR composites were created by merging three differentially exposed images spanning a wide exposure range and resulted in lightened shadows. HDR images showed more detail...

21 . 1 / G . Ward 21 . 1 : Invited Paper : The Hopeful Future of High Dynamic Range Imaging

This paper offers an overview of the challenges and opportunities presented by high dynamic range (HDR) imaging. We examine the length of the imaging pipeline, from creation and storage through image editing and viewing, and discuss how each stage is affected by a move to HDR.
